A 40′ container filled with basic needs and medical supplies arrived in Lui, South Sudan yesterday. On hand to receive the container were Mobile Messengers who have waited a long time for aid to distribute to their people at Lui Hospital and surrounding villages. Many of the needs of the suffering people in Lui were documented by our co-founder, James Harrison, in the original ‘With Open Eyes’ documentary. His compassion for the suffering people in Sudan inspired the very forming of our foundation so this marks a very special milestone in the history of With Open Eyes. Special thanks to our resource partner, Gleaning For The World, and the Episcopal Church of South Sudan – Lui Diocese. Also, we would like to express a sincere thank you to the supporters who gave so graciously to carry on the good work that the Lord began through the determination of a young man whose heart was full of compassion.
