Last Friday, we updated you on the growing tension in Central Sudan and communicated the immediate need to equip our ministry partner, Pastor Morris, who is in the Nuba Mountains. Today, the Lord opened a divine line of communication for us. At approximately 11am EST, Pastor Morris called and informed us that fighting erupted this past Sunday in their area. He and his family, as well as all of the Mobile Messengers, have had to leave their homes and flee to the mountains for safety. Many in the area have died and the situation is very serious.

Even though their living conditions have become extremely difficult and the end to the violence is uncertain, Pastor Morris was an encouragement to us as we spoke and in his words, he told us, “The one who is in us is stronger than the one that is in the world.” He also said that he believes God will protect them and even though their ability to travel and evangelize has been hindered, they will do all that they can to continue to reach out to those around them with the message of Jesus.
We ask that you join us by making a special commitment to pray for Pastor Morris and each of his Mobile Messengers as well as their families.

We also ask that you pray for the many people who do not have the hope of Jesus Christ. May God bring someone across their path who can point them to the Savior. Whether they are an innocent child or a fighting soldier, may they come to know Jesus and surrender their life to him before it is too late.
Let’s carry on with the task that we STILL have to fulfill – to take the gospel to every nation, tribe, people and language. Although we aren’t in every one of those places – we can send a willing messenger who is!
